Our Goal

An OTEC Plant on a Tanker Offers a Green Solution

Where deep ocean cold water is found near tropical shores, an Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) desalinization plant may provide copious quantities of potable water and other products to make the plant economically self supporting.

An OTEC plant may produce electrical power, mechanical steam power, potable water, refrigeration, aquaculture and industrial gases from the water with power extracted from the temperature differential between tropical surface and deep ocean seawater.

It may power itself without outside fuel costs, needing only crew support for continued operation.

An OTEC plant mounted on a ship economizes on the input side by eliminating expensive and vulnerable shore facilities while economizing on the output side to provide deliverable goods with the most economical transportation.
